Destination Wedding Photographer Calcutta IndiaGood evening from EPHQ everyone!  As I’m sure you’ve seen on Twitter & Facebook everything has been going at break neck speeds since my return from photographing Shriradha & David’s destination wedding in India.

Well – my calendar wasn’t enough to slow me down and in between being filmed for WatchHollywood.TV, filmed for Daylight twice & This Week In Google Glass and a ton of advanced marketing & business classes – I’ve had my nose buried behind the monitor hand retouching thousands of photographs from their destination wedding in India.

If Shriradha & David sound familiar it’s because I recently photographed their Mehndi & Sangeet in Atlanta for them.  Being in Atlanta was only the beginning of the fun & when I landed in Kolkata, India – we had a total blast!

Shriradha & David’s wedding experience in India was four days long too.  From the beautiful blessings, to the traditional ceremonies they had and the incredible food – their destination wedding was definitely one for the books.  I even got blessed with turmeric!

As the saying goes: “A picture is worth a thousand words” and I have a feeling the video I put together will have more than a million words for you to enjoy.  For me, my Signature Night Romantic portraits I captured of Shriradha & David are a billion words easily!

Before you scroll down to check out some of my favourite photos from Shriradha & David’s destination wedding in India and you would like to chat with me about your wedding, feel free to contact me anytime day or night.  I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

PS, There is a LOT more on the way to share too!  I am putting together a film with all the footage I captured on my Google Glass.  So definitely stay tuned here on the site!

PSS, The fun with Shriradha & David will be continuing soon too as I’ll be heading back to Atlanta in August for their USA wedding ceremony.  Whew Hew!

PSSS, One of the portraits of Shriradha & David remind me of a very famous painting called “The Kiss” by Klimt.  Watch for it!

David Esquire Newport Beach Photographer Business TipsGood afternoon from EPHQ everyone!

I’m sure you’ve been seeing on Facebook & Twitter, things have been pretty wild & crazy.  I’ve been interviewed for a magazine in Italy, a magazine in France and I was filmed in Hollywood & at The Lexington Social House in Los Angeles for a teaser/trailer of an entertainment program with WatchHollywood.TV that I’m being featured on.  Check out some fun behind the scenes photos from the shoot HERE!

Well in the middle of all that, along with editing nearly 10,000 photos from Shriradha & David’s destination wedding in India, and sharing Ashley & Peter’s epic Engagement Shoot in Huntington Beach – my friend & professional Canadian photographer Olivier Day got together to record another installment on How To Make The Most Out Of Your Photography Business.

Olivier & I had a blast on our first episode (LINK) before Christmas, our second episode (LINK) & our third episode (LINK) & because of the awesome global success we continue to have – we decided to record another episode for you.

As you can tell from the photo to the right, we had a totally MEGA time recording this episode.  Plus!  I’ve been getting my nutrition back in line and was able to fit into one of my favourite MINI Cooper racing shirts.  YAY!

Some of the topics we covered were:

  • What good is a DSLR these days?
  • iOS… Android… does it matter?
  • The age of the ever-present “selfie”
  • Is it “Photography” that’s dying or The Photographer?
  • Google Glass… fad or future?
  • 10,000 photos on your phone & no prints.
  • Craft vs Convenience?  24 exposures vs 16G memory card – have we become lazy?
  • Could the next World Press Photo of the Year come from an iPhone?
  • Are we ignoring the scene?

Before you scroll down to check out the video we recorded and you’re thinking…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Photographer & Google Glass Explorer who loves the arts, feel free to contact me anytime.  I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Good morning from EPHQ everyone!  I have a totally awesome wedding planning top to share with you from Esquire Photography partner: Simply Bridal.  It’s an awesome infographic on how to match your wedding bouquet to your wedding dress.

Check this out!

In order to complete your overall perfect look for your wedding day, it’s important to make sure each component of your ensemble works well with one another. Many brides have a difficult time figuring out the style of bouquet that is going to work well with not only their wedding look, but their theme as well. But don’t worry, because we’re here to help! Here are some important tips…

Complement or Match
When it comes to picking out the accessories for your wedding day, you need to step back and make a decision. Are you going to match your accessories to your dress or find accessories that complement your look? It is important to decide this before finding your pieces so you don’t get yourself into a panic when it comes to completing your look.

If You Choose To Match…
If you’re going to choose to go the matching route, make sure your whites actually match. Many women forget that there are many of shades of white, and it is important that everything is the same color. White and ivory don’t mix well, please take note and remember this! If you’re wearing an ivory gown, it might not be a great choice to carry white calla lilies. Make sure you explore your options well before your wedding days and ask for opinions from your florist as well as close friends and family.

If You Choose To Complement…
Choosing to go the complementing route definitely gives you more wiggle room in terms of bouquet options.  You can choose the colors of your accessories to match the theme of your wedding or just colors that you personally want to wear with your wedding dress. As long as the colors you choose don’t clash with your wedding color palette, the options are truly endless. For a clean and romantic look, consider an arrangement of various colors of flowers and choose from more than white fabric to wrap your bouquet in.

Overall Ensemble
Most importantly, be sure your bouquet compliments your overall look and not JUST your dress. It is important to consider the type of jewelry you have picked out when choosing your bouquet. If you’re wearing jewelry that has lots of bling, it could be fun to add a little bling to your bouquet as well so it works well together. Or if you choose to wear an amazing pair of shoes that are a bright, bold color, maybe incorporate that color into your bouquet as well by wrapping it in a matching fabric.

The key is to keep in mind your wedding day ensemble as a whole and not just as the dress. We all know the dress is going to be the focal point, but there is a lot more than goes into the look than that! By selecting accessories and a bouquet that suits your dress and theme perfectly, you’ll totally nail your wedding look. Good luck and happy hunting!
