Newport Beach PhotographerGood evening from EPHQ everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Photographer who has a VERY special treat to share with you.

But first, a quick update on current events —

As you’ve seen from all the awesomeness on Twitter & Facebook – 2012 was bursting at the seams with Portraits, Engagement Shoots, Weddings, Red Carpet Events, two commercial photo shoots for celebrity designer; Kate Mesta featuring Boo Boo Stewart AND Brittany Curran, the TV program; Picture Me – Picture You filmed around the world entirely on a mobile phone AND being voted in the TOP 3 as OC’s BEST Wedding Photographer.  Like I said, it was a really amazing 2012!

After returning from Costa Rica filming & photographing Denise & Miguel’s wedding experience for a week (that was just as much fun & awesome as their Engagement Shoot!) & the holidays, 2013 is off to very much the same start!  I’ve already had a MEGA Photo Shoot of International DJ & Producer; John B, a Fashion Shoot with California Model; Sarah Reiter (You probably remember her previous Photo Shoot that was for The Ford Agency) AND now… I’m ready to share my friend & fellow photographer; Danny (aka;  The Spaniard Shooter) Mendoza’s photo shoot with you.

BUT!

What’s really going to knock your socks off is that Danny’s E N T I R E photo shoot was filmed AND photographed on a mobile phone.  You read that right, his entire photo shoot was completely captured on the Nokia 808 Pureview mobile phone.

Now that you’re shaking your head back & forth in wonderment, I’ll just leave it there & let the videos below do all the talking.  So sit back, turn up the volume and check out Danny’s MEGA video below.

Oh!  If you’re thinking…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this international photographer who loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Newport Beach Wedding PhotographerGood afternoon from Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Photographer who’s been totally dying to share Gail’s Romantic & Sexy portrait photo shoot.

As always, things are rockin at WPHQ with all the incredible events I’m editing right now like; Denise & Miguel’s wedding in Costa Rica at Hotel Sugar Beach, sharing DJ John B’s RESPECT event at The Dragonfly in Los Angeles and many more.  So when I heard from Gail that I could share her photo shoot I did with her up in Lancaster – I couldn’t type this note to you fast enough.

If Gail looks familiar, it’s because I had the honour of meeting and having fun with Gail at TaKasha & Adrian’s Murietta Wedding last year.  So when she contacted me about wanting to do one of my Signature Photo Shoots as a Christmas gift for her wife who’s been overseas in the Military, I gave her a resounding YES!

What’s been crazy and has been keeping me on the edge of my seat, is that her photo shoot was completed before I left for Costa Rica for Denise & Miguel’s’ wedding & I wasn’t able to share it with you, because it was a gift for her wife who just came back home from serving in the military.

But now that she’s home & has received her present – you’ll see in the video below, we had a totally awesome time.  From the minute I took Gail to all the various locations I personally scouted for her shoot in Lancaster, to the intimate, soft & seductive portraits I did with her under candlelight at her home – we had a blast laughing and playing throughout the entire session.

I’m absolutely flattered working with amazing ladies like; Gail and it truly means the world to me being able to help my clients not only have an incredible photography experience and amazing photographs they’re able to enjoy and share with their family & friends over the years.  But to give back to those who are serving our country, affording me the freedoms I have with my 50% off Military Discount.

Now that you have an idea of the many things going on and if you’re thinking…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this international photographer who loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

I hope you’re having a great start to your New Year and stay tuned for more amazing events that I’ll be sharing with you from Newport Beach & Lancaster – all the way out to London, Paris, Costa Rica, Germany and Switzerland.

What do you do when disaster strikes on your wedding day?!?

Now that I’ve got your attention…

Good afternoon from Newport Beach everyone!  I have a special treat for you about Rebekah & Christopher’s San Diego Wedding (LINK).

Even though their wedding was a little while ago, I really had to share Tamar’s perspective of how beautiful, fun and memorable their wedding was – regardless of the power outage that was happening that day in California.

Check this out!

“A massive power outage couldn’t hold a candle to Rebekah and Chris’ wedding.  On the contrary, candles were held in it as the light faded and a full moon rolled up the sky.  A power-less evening threatened to rain on their nuptial parade—to darken the couple’s moon lit big night and morph from a knock-on-wood moment to a latter day by-word like a trip down the aisle or a bridesmaid suddenly AWOL.

Of course, that suspicion was whisked away before it could properly mature and settle down.  No power meant soft, watery candlelight; meant lean-to conversations and huddled intimacy; meant, ultimately, an unpredictably romantic evening.

A dark, even music-less, night was actually a stroke of luck.  It coerced guests into informally knit groups around flicking aureoles of light while audible conversation replaced hardly missed music, spreading like an airborne contagion.  Most importantly, at the head of their secluded sweetheart table, grinning from ear to ear over dim rings of golden light, the happy couple sat, well, happy—unaware they could’ve been otherwise.”

Sometimes, what could be perceived as a potential disaster, can be a completely magical and perfect event.

Also, I want to ask you a couple things.  Did you picture how the event was, how everyone was and how the event was overflowing with love as the usual cliche things were not able to happen.  Did the picture in your mind seem really romantic and beautiful?

At the end of the day, it’s your wedding and you get to choose how you want to spend it.  Whether it’s with tons of games, dancing and playing around or if you want an intimate wedding that allows everyone to connect – it’s up to you.

Now that you have an idea of what a really intimate and romantic can be like and if you’re thinking…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this international photographer who loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Newport Beach PhotographerGood morning & “Happy New Beer” (like my brother; Tony says) from EPHQ everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Photographer who’s been dying to share with you UK DJ John B‘s RESPECT performance last week at The Dragonfly in Los Angeles.

It was a really amazing 2012!

What’s really awesome is 2013 is off to very much the same start with John B!

I’ve been following John B for numerous years and very heavily since John’s “Electrostep” album came out back in 2006.  John B’s personality was screaming volumes on the album cover – which totally matched his musical style.  Especially in some of my favourite songs like: “Fashion”, “Stalking You On My Space” and “Tainted Love.”

If you’re not too familiar with John B, check out these excerpts from his absolutely incredible Bio:

British super producer John B has known for ages what Lady Gaga is only just discovering:  the importance of pushing boundaries with a well-manicured hand.

Defying categorisation, John’s catalogue straddles electro, punk rock, trance, Latin and drum and bass. The euphoric ‘Up All Night’ became the defining track on Mixmag’s Trance and Bass compilation in 2003 and was quickly followed by a commission for Oakenfold’s Perfecto imprint, which appeared on the epic ‘Great Wall’ compilation alongside the likes of Madonna and Justin Timberlake.

His referencing of colourful counter-cultures such as fetish, euro pop, burlesque, street fashion and the avant garde, have brought him into the orbits of electrohouse scene favourites such as Larry Tee, Mark Moore and Tommie Sunshine, who were all champions of John’s Electrostep album. And his electro friendships don’t end there.  He’s done remixes for Heaven 17, Howard Jones, My Robot Friend, and S’Express.

And by creating exclusive free content he’s been able to amass a hugely loyal global following. His live sets and studio mixes regularly exceed 100,000 downloads and, as his podcasts near their 100th episode they’ve hit the itunes top 10 too.

Can I just quote my favourite actor; Keanu Reeves and say; “WHOA!”  …And, those are just just a few bits from his bio.  Click on this LINK so you can connect with John B through his podcast, photos, videos, social media and so much more.  When you connect with John B, you’ll see why I’ve been following him for years.

To be even more blunt, John is in my top three artists that I respect and am inspired by.  The three being; Duran Duran who I’ve been following since 1982 & had the honour of working with several times, John B since 2006 and now had the honour of working & hanging with (WHEW HEW!), and Robbie Williams – who’s been on the radar and am aiming to meet and work with in 2013.

One of the many things that’s totally awesome about John B is that he’s personal, approachable and super cool.  I’ve worked with tons of recording artists & DJs in my career, but John B totally hung out with his fans & friends before and after the event.  Now THAT is truly sets him apart from so many professionals today.

Ok… enough chit chat.  Are you ready to be transported back in time?  Are you ready to experience the energy coming off the stage?  Are you ready for John’s trademark tsunami of sound mashed with photos & videos?

Then sit back, turn up the volume and check out John B’s MEGA video below.  OH!  By the way!  You’ll recognize the song in the video too.  It’s; “Up All Night (Epic Mix)” from John B.’s “Up All Night” maxi single that John was totally cool in letting me use.  It’s one of my favourite songs of his & I thought it was a perfect match for the video since we were all pretty much “Up All Night!”

And now… a few words from John after his MEGA performance.  I dig it how he’s on point even after rockin The Dragonfly!
