Good evening from EPHQ everyone!  I have a totally special Wedding Tip of the Week for you from my good friends and Partner of Esquire Photography; Shelly at Simply Bridal.

Creeping up this weekend is Mothers Day, and in honor of all the women in the world my friend: Shelly at Simply Bridal has created a special infographic to help all the women at your wedding feel special.  Of course the bride is the golden start on her wedding day, but the special union is special to all the members of both families. As the bride, it is your responsibility to make sure everyone is included, make sure that the sister of the groom is treated just as dearly as your own (because you are one big family now)!  Simply Bridal has brainstormed a few ideas for each female member of both families.

I am so thrilled to be able to honor women in the world. Men honoring women is great, but women honoring women is magical!

If you have any other bits about fitness you’d like to add, be sure to share your thoughts in the comments below or contact me anytime day or night.  I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Newport Beach Wedding Photographer Google Glass Explorer Paris Portrait PhotographerGood evening from Esquire Photography HQ everyone!  As I’m sure you’ve been keeping up on all the exciting events I’ve been sharing on Twitter & Facebook – I was recently chosen as a Google #GlassExplorer AND invited to perform on stage in New York & Edinburgh, Scotland for the parody: Miserable Lesbians all the while kicking off the EPIC Military Discount Program.

ALONG WITH! I was invited by my friend & fellow Toscar Alumni: Gene Franklin Smith to photograph the private reception for the Malibu Playhouse in Malibu on Sunday where I met long time actor: Dick van Dyke.

Fast forward a little & last week I was invited to attend the Open House at Pictage and with my invitation – I received a note to submit one of my favourite photos.  I wasn’t sure which photo to choose & asked you guys to choose which photo I should submit – which you, the readers, viewers, fans & friends practically unanimously chose was the portrait of Emma that I did for her photo shoot in Paris, France.

Well last night was the event & while I was there, I had an opportunity to chat with celebrity wedding photographer; Joe Buissink.  He’s a totally great guy, down to earth & recently he had the opportunity to photograph Michael Jordan’s wedding.  I so totally am eager to see those photos!

The Open House was totally awesome at Pictage – with a completely full room of amazing photographers from around Southern California.  But what was a regular open house to me – was drastically changed as “Pictage Monty” invited me to his office.  When I walked into his office he had the portrait of Emma printed out & on a table with a marker and… he asked me to autograph it so he could hang it on the wall.  Can I say: WHOLLY NACHOS & NEWCASTLES!?!

I was completely humbled, flattered & felt totally honoured that he would ask me to do that and of course me, being me – I had to record the entire experience so I could share it with you.  Which is what I have below for you in a fun video of the two of us.

Pictage has been serving Esquire Photography for nearly a decade with prints, off-site backups and all of my albums as well.  They’re a fantastic company with terrific leadership and what is even better about it is Pictage is a company that’s run by photographers for photographers.  So for me; “they get it” with my needs and what I love to do for you, my fans, clients & friends.

Before you scroll down & check out the video I put together with Monty & I at Pictage and you’re wanting to chat with me about a event or wedding, totally feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below or contact me anytime day or night.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

We challenge you to try these celebrity fitness moves for 30 days along with eating a well-balanced diet. Why? It takes 30 days to make a habit and in just 30 days you’re sure to see results that will motivate you to reach your goals.

“♥ Tuesday Emotional Tussle ♥

I’m beginning to believe there is a “Post Terrorist Attack Syndrome”. It seems that whenever one of these incidents occurs I have a “Rebound Day” that is marked with a dull feeling of Sadness. The realization that people suddenly Died and many others were forever changed with lost limbs and injuries all while gathered to celebrate a Happy Occasion. It seems so Cruel, the sudden whiplash from the Greatest Joy to tremendous Sorrow. That seems to punctuate this is the reality that Life if both Short and at times not at all fair!

This brings me to my Thought and encouragement for the day. We all seem to lead busy hectic lives immersed in technology and connectivity. If I’ve witnessed firsthand any common thread interwoven in the Grief of Sudden Loss it is this – “Regret” ! !

All too often the realization that we didn’t talk enough, laugh enough, play enough or simply listen enough with our closest Friends and Family Members – the people we deeply Love, until they are suddenly NOT There anymore. I can’t even begin to tell you the number of people I’ve worked with who grieve, who would give almost ANYTHING Tangible for only one more day with someone they Love… if it were only possible.

It’s so easy to look around and spot people totally consumed by an electronic device. I have commented about vacationing families sitting at Lava Java… the most Beautiful Breakfast spot in Kona Hawaii – Dad reading the newspaper, Mom chatting with her Girlfriend back home on her cellphone, Daughter texting a distant boyfriend and Son playing a video game … all while extraordinary beauty passes before them. For many of these Families this is a “Once in a Lifetime” Vacation … I don’t know about anyone else, but to me it’s sad to watch, maybe because I know it can all change in an instant. One universal truth is undeniable … No Electronic Device will ever offer the same compassionate, nurturing and loving fulfillment found only in human touch and relationships!

Live Consciously, Live WITHOUT Regret, Disconnect and Connect with what really Important in your Life a Little Each Day ♥

~ Aloha Marc

Newport Beach Wedding Photographer Ventura Engagement Photo ShootGood evening from Esquire Photography HQ everyone!  As I’m sure you’ve been keeping up on all the exciting events I’ve been sharing on Twitter & Facebook – I was recently chosen as a Google #GlassExplorer AND being invited to perform on stage in New York & Edinburgh, Scotland for the parody: Miserable Lesbians all the while kicking off the EPIC Military Discount Program.

On top of all those awesome events happening, I just had the opportunity to meet up with Liz & Rick for their totally romantic Engagement Photo Shoot up in Downtown Ventura.

I first had the opportunity of meeting them at a Bridal Faire that Reverend Sandra & Brooke from Visions & Promises held and knew from the minute we met – we all connected.  So when they decided on a location for their Engagement Photo Shoot – I couldn’t wait to drive up to Ventura to work with them.

We met up at Grant Park at the top of the hill overlooking the beach, Ventura Pier, and downtown – which was a perfect starting point for their Engagement Photo Shoot.  I was able to capture some relaxed & fun portraits with terrific views of Downtown, the Father Serra Cross – which is over 200 years old and we even captured some fun portraits of their table numbers.

Oh!  I need to mention that yesterday was “Star Wars Day / May The 4th Be With You Day” – which gave Liz & Rick to do some “Vadering” in their shoot too!

We eventually headed down the hill to Ventura’s historical City Hall building where I was able to capture some of my Signature Night Romantic Portraits of Liz & Rick.  Which they totally rocked!

Before you scroll down & check out the video I put together with some of my favourites from their Engagement Photo Shoot in Downtown Ventura and you’re wanting to chat with me about a event or wedding, totally feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below or contact me anytime day or night.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

I hope you’re having a great “Sink O de Mayo” and stay tuned for more amazing events that I’m sharing from Newport Beach, all the way out to London, Paris, Germany and Switzerland.
