Newport Beach Photographer Game of Shakes Brits In LA The ToscarsGood evening from EPHQ everyone!  As you’ve seen here and on Twitter & Facebook thing have been really amazing and what I’m about to share with you tonight just keeps adding to an amazing 2013.

You know how I’ve been constantly running around the world photographing Concerts, Denise & Miguel’s wedding in Costa Rica, Red Carpet Events, photo shoots with celebrities; Boo Boo Stewart AND Brittany Curran, and working on my TV program; “Picture Me – Picture You“ filmed internationally entirely on a mobile phone.

Plus with all the incredible people I’ve had the honour of meeting with Brits In LA – I’ve been able to be an Actor AND Set Photographer on the AWARD WINNING movie; “Skyfell (And I Can’t Get Up)” for The Toscars hosted by Brits in LA that received a TON of Nominations for several awards and were shared all around the world through various media organizations like the BBC, Globe Telegraph and London Flair PR.

Well!  Check this out!  I was asked a few weeks ago if I would be interested in doing a parody of the program: “Game of Thrones” called: “Game of Shakes” with a collection of Toscars alumni in a new comedy troop called: The Token Minorities.”  It took me all of ZERO seconds to say yes & then ask what I could do to help the production.

As it turned out, I was able to be the Director of Photography on the film, create the Token Minorities logo plus had a small chance of being in front of the camera as well.  Can I say WHEW HEW!!!

We descended on Griffith Park at 8:00 a.m. before things got crowded, hot and terrible with the light.  It was definitely a rogue filming situation as we make-shifted just about everything to make it happen and then eventually headed to Craig’s home in the hills to finish the filming of the other scenes we had.

From the minute we all landed in Los Angeles, to the last scenes we filmed – the entire experience for me was WAY more than I could have dreamt of.  I could go on how it all came together for the film, but I know the video below will convey all the fun we had together working.

Los Angeles Photographer David Esquire Professional Actor Matt CrabtreeGood afternoon from EPHQ everyone!  As you’ve seen here and on Twitter & Facebook thing have been really amazing and I’m so excited to share more with you.

As you know, I’m constantly running around the world photographing Concerts, Denise & Miguel’s wedding in Costa Rica, Red Carpet Events, commercial photo shoots with celebrities; Boo Boo Stewart AND Brittany Curran, working on the TV program; “Picture Me – Picture You“ filmed internationally entirely on a mobile phone.

There’s also the AWARD WINNING movie; “Skyfell (And I Can’t Get Up)” for The Toscars hosted by Brits in LA that I was the Set Photographer & Actor on.  Then yesterday I shared with you that I was asked to join the cast of the other AWARD WINNING movie: “Miserable Lesbians” that swept The Toscars where I’ll be on stage in New York AND in Edinburgh, Scotland.  Here’s a LINK to the story I shared.  WHEW HEW!

Well here’s the latest amazing photo shoot I had the honour of doing with professional actor: Matt Crabtree who was the Co-Director, Leader & Actor on “Skyfell (And I Can’t Get Up) in Los Angeles recently.

PLUS!  I had a little treat for him & we slowed it down a bit.  Instead of using all my modern day Canon equipment, I rolled it back to full manual focus, manual exposure and manual everything with the best camera equipment in the world.  I used it in Germany for Christin & Christoph’s Portrait Shoot in Germany, photographed Former Bill Clinton’s event with Sir Elton John, Lady Gaga and more and so many other events around the world.  I used my Leica M8 along with lenses that were made nearly 60 years ago and better than lenses made today.

From the minute I landed in Los Angeles, to the last shots I captured with Matt – it was definitely the kind of photo shoot that rocks.

Slowing down the photo shoot, forced us to get everything dialed in for each and every photograph.  So instead of capturing 1,000 or more photos, we captured only 58 photos.  That’s right!  ONLY 58 photos & nearly all of them were absolutely perfect that Matt absolutely rocked!

AND more recently – getting hired as Director of Photography & Actor for a movie with “The Token Minorities” comedy troop, being the Set Photographer AND as an Actor on the award winning movie; “Skyfell (And I Can’t Get Up)” for The Toscars & photographing the John B Concert all the while kicking off the EPIC Military Discount Program, AND landing two new sponsors that I’m about to share with you soon.

As I’m sure you saw, the movie: “Skyfell (And I Can’t Get Up) received a TON of Nominations for several awards and on top of that – The Toscars have been shared all around the world through various media organizations like the BBC, Globe Telegraph and London Flair PR.
