Brits In LA The Toscars Los Angeles Newport Beach PhotographerGood evening from EPHQ everyone!  As you’ve seen on Twitter & Facebook – I’m constantly running around the world photographing Concerts, Denise & Miguel’s wedding in Costa Rica, Red Carpet Events, commercial photo shoots with celebrities; Boo Boo Stewart AND Brittany Curran, working on the TV program; Picture Me – Picture You filmed internationally entirely on a mobile phone.

Well… I have some really awesomeness to share with you tonight!

I’m so totally excited to share with you the Behind the Scenes film for the AWARD WINNING movie; “Skyfell (And I Can’t Get Up)” for The Toscars hosted by Brits in LA that I was the Set Photographer & Actor on.

As I’m sure you saw, our movie received a TON of Nominations for several awards and on top of that – The Toscars have been shared all around the world through various media organizations like the BBC, Globe Telegraph and London Flair PR.

From the minute we all landed at our “Secret Lairs” in Los Angeles, to the last shots with Melissa Kit dressed with nothing more than a gigantic British Flag pillow – the entire experience for me was more than I could have dreamt of.

I could go on & on about the three days of shooting all over Los Angeles, but the video that I created below after sifting through nearly 2,000 photographs & hours of footage I know will convey all the fun we had together working.  But seriously though, there were several people involved who made our film incredible & I have to give a big thanks to them.  They are:

  • Matt Crabtree – Co Diwhactor, Team Leader, Producer & Best Supporting “Whactor” as “Silvatop”
  • Laura Harbron – Co Diwhactor, Editor & Whactress

Newport Beach Wedding Photographer Costa Rica WeddingGood evening from EPHQ everyone!  I’m one international photographer who’s has been craving to share Denise & Miguel’s Costa Rica wedding at Hotel Sugar Beach.

As you’ve seen on Twitter & Facebook – I’m constantly running around the world photographing Weddings, Portraits, Red Carpet Events, commercial photo shoots with celebrities; Boo Boo Stewart AND Brittany Curran, working on the TV program; Picture Me – Picture You filmed internationally entirely on a mobile phone.

AND more recently – being hired as the Set Photographer AND as an Actor on the award winning movie; “Skyfell (And I Can’t Get Up)” – all the while working on post production of literally several thousand of photographs that I captured over the course of a week with Denise & Miguel and their family & friends.

If Denise & Miguel sound familiar, it’s because you’ve seen their absolutely incredible Engagement Shoot I photographed with them and their majestic horses (which have been used by Madonna).  After their Engagement Shoot, I knew it was merely the tip of the iceberg of how much fun we were going to have in Costa Rica.

Denise & Miguel’s wedding week was completely incredible!  From the beautiful scenery to the yacht trip to one of the islands to do some snorkeling, the welcome dinner, wedding, reception and some sight seeing in town to do some window shopping & pick up a couple souvenirs – the entire week was totally amazing.

The most difficult part of their wedding though was editing all the photos.  Not because there were thousands of photographs that I personally hand retouched over the past several weeks in between other projects, but to pick just the right ones for the video I created (which went through 4 versions this week) and choosing the perfect photos for the album design that will be prepared for them through my partner: Pictage.

I would like to also acknowledge the professionals who helped make Denise & Miguel’s wedding week in Costa Rica a perfect success.

  • Ms. Randy Gritz with Weddings Costa Rica
  • Ms. Sarah Martin, Assistant to Ms. Gritz
  • Floristeria Crista for their beautiful floral arrangements
  • Eventos Boadicea for providing all the rentals for the wedding & reception
  • Jorge Jaen Trio for the beautiful music prior to the wedding & wedding ceremony
  • DJ Sky (Mauricio Amador) for rockin the reception & helping share Denise & Miguel’s Engagement Shoot on the two big screens they brought
  • Mr. Pablo Herrera, the Operations Manager at Hotel Sugar Beach who with his amazing staff facilitated a perfect week (AND is a special guest on the upcoming episode of “Picture Me – Picture You“)

Before you scroll down to check out my some of my favourite photographs from Denise & Miguel’s Costa Rica wedding and you’re thinking you’d like to chat about your destination wedding, totally comment below or contact me anytime day or night.  I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Newport Beach Photographer Morrissey Concert Brits In LAGood evening from EPHQ everyone!  I’m one international photographer who’s MEGA excited to share some of the fun we had Friday night at the Morrissey concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

As you’ve seen on Twitter & Facebook – I’m constantly running around the world photographing Concerts, Red Carpet Events, commercial photo shoots with celebrities; Boo Boo Stewart AND Brittany Curran, working on the TV program; Picture Me – Picture You filmed internationally entirely on a mobile phone.

AND more recently – getting hired as the Set Photographer AND as an Actor on the award winning movie; “Skyfell (And I Can’t Get Up)” for The Toscars & photographing the John B Concert all the while kicking off the EPIC Military Discount Program, AND landing two new sponsors that I’m about to share with you soon.

Speaking of the Toscars – they’re hosted by Brits in LA & well… it just so happened that Kristine & I were able to attend the Morrissey concert with Craig & Eileen – the two masterminds behind Brits in LA along with fellow Toscarian: Sandro Monetti (who worked on the MEGA award winning Toscar film: Miserable Lesbians which has been in various global press agencies like the Huffington Post UK) and several other friends of theirs in the Box Suite.

The night kicked off with Kristine & I landing in downtown Los Angeles a bit early to score an awesome parking spot & some snacks & beverages.  From there, we met up with Craig, Eileen, Sondro & several other awesome Brits in their Box Suite for a night of music with Kristeen Young as the pre-opening act, then Patti Smith & her band (who freakin ROCKED!) and of course the headlining act: Morrissey.

As you know – I’m constantly with camera and this night was surely going to be a great opportunity to capture some awesome photos of Morrissey rocking a SOLD OUT event to nearly 20,000 people.  YEAH!

From the minute Morrissey took the stage – the entire venue exploded with what I call a “Tsunami of Sound” crashing over all his fans.  The performance with filled with traditional lighting, a video screen above the stage with various clips & colours & probably one of the most KICK ASS bands he has worked with ever.

The songs were tight, the music was perfect and on top of it – one of his fans managed to work his way through security & hop on stage to give Morrissey a hug just a few moments before Morrissey took his shirt of before his totally epic encore where he rocked: The Boy With The Thorn In His Side.

Also, check out this MEGA set list that included some Smiths songs.  Yes, you read that right – The Smiths!

  • Shoplifters Of The World Unite
  • Irish Blood, English Heart
  • Alma Matters
  • You Have Killed Me
  • You’re The One For Me, Fatty
  • Action Is My Middle Name
  • That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore
  • I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris
  • Speedway / Meat Is Murder
  • Ouija Board, Ouija Board
  • November Spawned A Monster
  • To Give (The Reason I Live)
  • How Soon Is Now?
  • Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want
  • Everyday Is Like Sunday
  • Let Me Kiss You
  • First Of The Gang To Die

If you were at the concert as well, feel free to comment below – I’d love to read your thoughts about the event.  Or contact me anytime day or night.  I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

I hope you’re having a great start to your week and stay tuned for more amazing events that I’m sharing from Newport Beach, all the way out to London, Paris, Costa Rica, Germany and Switzerland.

PS, I nearly forgot to mention that if you would like to order any professional prints, I have a Private Gallery online right now at my partner vendor: Pictage AND I’m running a two-for-one promotion on professional prints too.

Newport Beach Photographer Red O Restaurant The OscarsGood evening from EPHQ everyone!  I’m one international photographer who’s MEGA excited to share some of the fun we had Sunday night at Red O Restaurant for the Oscars Viewing Party.

As you’ve seen on Twitter & Facebook – I’m constantly running around the world photographing Portraits, Red Carpet Events, commercial photo shoots with celebrities; Boo Boo Stewart AND Brittany Curran, working on the TV program; Picture Me – Picture You filmed internationally entirely on a mobile phone.

WHEW!  Now where was I?!?  Oh yeah – the Oscars viewing party at Red O Restaurant.  :-)

Last week I received an invite from uber actress Burgandi Phoenix (who I worked with on “Skyfell”) about the Oscars viewing party at Red O Restaurant.  It sounded like an awesome opportunity to get a few hours away from the computer editing & I quickly said yes.

As it turned out, Kristine was able to go with me so we popped up to Hollywood Blvd. to check out all the activity brewing for the Oscars that night, grabbed a quick bite at Jameson’s Irish Pub & then “Woosh!” off to Melrose to meet up with Burgandi who was rocking a dress by celebrity designer: Shekhar Rahate & her awesome & suave boyfriend & MEGA actor: Carlos Ramirez.

The night was filled with fun on the red carpet, great eats, delicious drinks and awesome company while I was able to pop off a few photos throughout the evening.  I even had the opportunity to meet previous Marine turned actor; Javier Lezama who recently completed a critically acclaimed movie about an active marine who’s gay & serving in the military.  ALSO!  I met Makela Marjo-Riikka from Chekhov Studio International in Los Angeles.  If you’re coming up in the industry or a veteran, Chekhov Studio International is THE one & only team of professionals that can (and will) help you with your craft & career.

Thank you to Ms. Ryan Fields; Event Director at Red O Restaurant who with her army of professionals (and Jeremy our bartender) totally put together quite the event for everyone to enjoy.  I am already counting the days that I can come through and enjoy another evening there.

Did you have some awesome moments about the Oscars you loved?  If so, feel free to comment below or contact me anytime day or night.

PS, Burgandi is doing her best to go to Cannes for a film she’s in that’s in called: Speed Dragon.  If you could help her get to Cannes, that would be awesome.  Here’s a LINK to her “Yes She Cannes!” fundraiser.
